CLC's Consultation Paper on the draft Code of Conduct: 2nd August 2010

The consultation period ended on 31st October 2010.

For the reasons set out in the Executive Summary to the Consultation Paper, the Code of Conduct will be the building block for the CLC to develop a principles-based and outcome-focused approach to regulation. The changes will be challenging for the profession and for the CLC. However, I am confident that they will help CLC regulated practices to provide a wider range of legal services in innovative ways which are fully in tune to the demands and needs of consumers and the wider public whilst safeguarding the core values of the legal profession..

The consultation period ended on 31st October 2010.

Yours sincerely,

Victor Olowe
Chief Executive
